Bare Boat Hire
|
The Merlin Bare Boat Hire Yachts The Merlin yachts are 6.1m long small keel yachts. They are available for bareboat hire (means you can take the boat by yourself if you have the skills). If not you can hire a skipper to help you for the day. They have motors and sails so if you prefer you can motor of to your destination. The sun shade over the cockpit and the on board toilet ensure you have a pleasant time relaxing while at anchor. There is a boarding ladder on each boat so you have easy access to the sea for swimming and snorkelling. There are 4 yachts available.
For families or a couple you can arrange a picnic lunch either from Plantation Island Resort or the Coffee Cove at Musket Cove Resort, then head out for a sail or if you prefer you can motor out to the local sand cay for a day out of swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on your own boat. If you prefer you can head down to Funky Fish Beach Resort for lunch before you return. If there is a bigger group, take more boats out and increase the fun together. You can take a skipper with you if you prefer. These boats must be prebooked at least the day before you want to go as the skipper must have his credentials checked before you can go out. If you require a Fijian skipper you need to book at least 24 hours in advance. Sailing Lessons You can have a practical sailing lesson with a friendly Fijian skipper to show you the ropes on the Merlin yachts. This is a great way to try out and see if sailing is for you. These small keel yachts are stable but fast and responsive under sail and ideal for learning to sail. You can go for as long as you need but the average lesson is about an hour. Sailing lessons need to be prebooked to ensure a skipper is available to teach you. Merlin Yacht Racing There are 4 identical yachts so they can be used as a team building exercise or competition for groups. The racing can be fleet racing or match racing. For these types of activities you need to contact us on email to organize the activity as it will involve laying race buoys and a start boat etc. The cost will be determined by the actual activity. |
