Reef Snorkelling

The 3.5 hour Reef Snorkelling and Sightseeing Cruise sails on Tuesdays and Fridays and pick up from your resort jetty. Just bring your swimwear, snorkelling gear and sunscreen and we'll set sail. 'Take a break' has plenty of room for between 6 and 28 passengers and this very stable vessel is easy to board from the jetty and also from the water via the stern ladder. People of all ages and sizes have enjoyed our Reef Snorkelling and Sightseeing Cruises. Bring your camera and especially your waterproof camera if you have one as you will soon be taking postcard pictures to send to friends back home. You can book using the link below of via the Plantation Island Resort or Musket Cove Island Resort boat sheds.We head out past Malolo island taking in the sights and relaxing on board. The commentary will point out the areas of interest and information about the other resorts we pass till we reach one of our favourite snorkelling areas where we anchor and give our guests a chance to get up close to the reef marine life. Our experienced crew are always ready to assist you and provide you with some local knowlegde on what to look for while snorkelling on the reef. If you prefer you can stay aboard and in the sheltered waters of the marine reserve you can snorkel on this excellently preserved reef. There are plenty of colourful corals and a huge biodiversity of fish. After the excitement of this snorkel relax on board with a cool drink or tea, coffee and a slice of the famous “take a beak banana cake.” There is time to discuss and identify what you have seen while on the way to the second snorkel spot. This reef has a nice selection of soft corals, sea whips, gorgonian seafan corals and a huge selection of fish. Guests say these coral gardens are spectacular and as good as any in the world. The vessel has an onboard toilet for your comfort and is equipped with an in the water ladder which makes reboarding Take a break easy. So much so many of our guest who are young at heart are often seen diving and somersaulting from the deck. These snorkeling sites can be accessed by either the catamaran Take a break or the motor launches Anthony Star or Dolphin Star.
